My name is Anthony Moore. I am 43 years of age and was born and Bred in the Walbunga country of Moruya on the South Coast. My father was born in the Wandan country of Nowra and my mother Walbunga country of Moruya. My fathers’ mother was Milly Bloxsome from the Coolangatta tribe between Gerringong and Berry, where the old official camp was. We are the descendants of the Yuin clan totem of the black duck. For the past 16 years I have had a great hunger for Aboriginal culture, wanting to learn as much as I can about the bush foods, medicine, artifacts culture history and Dreamtime stories. I have been studying and teaching over the past 16 years and ran a successful business sharing my knowledge. I have a Certificate III in Aboriginal Cultural Sites TAFE, Certifcate IV Workplace Training & Assessing, Cert III in Aboriginal Aquaculture. I wish to learn new knowledge from fellow artists in the studio and sharer my knowledge in return about bush foods, medicine and artefacts and Aboriginal sites awareness. Practicing my knowledge of Aboriginal Culture at the studio I wish to build a learning bridge with the wider community between all nations to do my part for reconciliation. |
