Associate Artists Kristine Stewart – Adelaide Stewart – Craig Cruse – Joanne Davis Kristine Stewart I am a Yuin women I have lived up & down in the South Coast all my life – always traveling with my family. I am a designer & maker of jewellery as well as a painter. I love all aspects of art – I enjoy detailed work in pencil and paint. I use pencil to create photo realist style portraits of people. I explore landscapes in my painting – the sky meeting the mountains, the reflection in water, the green of the field – tranquil settings. When I paint it makes me feel relaxed & calm – it gives me connection to my people & my ancestors the old ways in the past. I like think of what they would have saw when it was just them. Adelaide Stewart Adelaide is our youngest Koori Yuin nation artist on the BN team. She is 9 years old and has a great smile. Her mother & grandmother are great role models for this up and coming artist. Adelaide likes to paint houses, flowers & lately has started drawing people. Adelaide wishes to become a primary school teacher when she grows older. Adelaide likes to write stories about the houses she paints. Her mum says they are really funny – as we write this biography laughter fills the room.
