All in all it was a great stay and I New Orleans kind of guy looking for my recommend it, especially if you're going during a busy time it was southern decadence when we were there it was great to not be in the heart of everything. Oh and they let us store our bags in thier main house when we checked out until 3PM when we left for the airport so we didn't have to lug them around on our last day, that was great!

We would definitely stay again. April and Ken's place was great! Perfect size, adorably decorated, and a beautiful balcony. The location was just far enough away from the French quarter so it was a nice escape when needed. Definitely recommend using the bikes as a way to get around, otherwise, you'll be doing a lot walking! It's right on the Esplanade so it's not really a neighborhood vibe, but that makes it easy to get places.
Also, quite close to the beautiful City Park sculpture garden, singing oak, art museum, etc. They were great hosts, very responsive, accommodating and provided good tips of spots to check out.

For about the same price as a hotel, you can have a personal place right near the french quarter. On arrival, we received a list of restaurants, taxi services, and bars that our hosts recommended. Also a tasty bottle of wine! Walking to the french loo,ing takes about 20 minutes and once you're there, prepare to keep walking all night.
New Orleans is a colorful, vibrant city and this house is right in the middle of it, or at least that's what it feels like. I would definitely visit again! There's a banksy graffiti painting about halfway from the house to the quarter. April and Ken's place is a beautiful guesthouse on historic Esplanade.

Orlaens didn't walk much around the neighborhood. April and Ken were fantastic hosts! Great communication and ideas of places to go. Anytime we needed to contact them throughout our stay they were very prompt in replying and helpful with any questions we had.
Honestly, I loved everything about this listing. The location, first off was perfect. We had a rental car for the 5 days we were there and it felt like we were always driving everywhere, but we barely used a half tank of gas, because you're perfectly located close to everything! Also, the unit above us had hardwood floors so we could hear people walking. Kitchen had modern appliances; we appreciated being able to have a bowl of cereal and cup of coffee in the morning. Great place in a great location in Treme. Mark was an attentive host.

The space could stand a little investment but otherwise good for those on a budget. We had a great stay during the New Orleans kind of guy looking for my jazz fest weekend. Lovely room in a shotgun house. Erin had left us everything we needed and we had a great time in New Orleans. The house is handy for the streetcar, which takes you downtown.
